The velvet is a deep bluey-navy with almost the faintest hint of green in some light, and I kinda love the gold heel.
They're really gorgeous on. I'm typically a flat shoes kinda girl, but these were relatively comfortable.you know, for heels. I had tried on very similar style shoes but they had a 4' heel and there was NO way I'd have been able to walk in them, whereas this heel height was totally manageable. I take an 8.5 in flats and have a narrow foot, so I often have trouble with shoes being too wide on the toe band, but I got these in an 8 and they fit really well.

I've tried using the special chemical before washing to prevent the fabric from bleeding on a brand new dress, and it still bleeds. I'm unfortunately returning it, even though it's adorable.

The Jessica dress in the other prints doesn't do this so I highly recommend it in any other print that doesn't have a navy background. I've had this problem with other Lilly cotton dresses with navy backgrounds. I do not sweat very much so it's definitely a defect with the Lilly fabric.
